The Executive Master in Global Sport Governance (MESGO) is a unique vocational course, in which the key stakeholders of International sport come together to analyse the characteristics of its specific model, consider the main challenges it faces and reflect on measures that could be put in place to ensure its future prosperity. It is designed for managers working within an international orientation, in national, European and international sports institutions (federations, clubs and leagues, public authorities, commercial partners, etc.).
The programme is based on a multidisciplinary approach (economics, law, management and political science) and focuses on the current and future key challenges faced by sports organisations. The programme is delivered exclusively in English.
It is organised by five European Universities/Research Centres (Birkbeck Sport Business Centre, Birkbeck College, University of London - England; Centre de Droit et d’Économie du Sport and the University of Limoges - France; Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz - Germany; Institut Nacional d’Educaciò Fisica de Catalunya, University of Lleida - Barcelona, Spain; and supported by international sport and institutional partners (EHF - Handball; FIBA Europe - Basketball; UEFA - Football; IIHF - Ice hockey).
