CDES expertise
Since its creation in 1978, the approach of CDES has always been transversal and multidisciplinary. It combines academic rigour with an awareness of the daily reality of sport and is today considered a recognised expert in the field. Our expertise is twofold and mutually interactive: legal expertise and economic expertise.
CDES supports numerous organisations by offering them analysis and decision-making tools. Our areas of expertise are diverse and cover grassroots sport and professional and even self-regulated (street) sport. We offer a full range of services tailored to our clients’ needs:
-
Diagnostic tools;
-
Audits;
-
Strategic support;
-
Legal advice (see CDES Conseil);
-
Litigation;
-
Evaluation of public policies;
-
Economic impact and social utility of sports events;
-
Stadia and arenas…
Our main concern? To respond to the specific needs and expectations of our clients, which involves the total commitment of our team to every one of our studies. For that to happen, our team is made up of experts who are actively involved in the reality of sport on a daily basis, as well as internationally recognised academic experts.
Thus, our highly-skilled team in law (legal experts), in management and in sports economics (economic experts) makes every effort to respond to your needs by being in permanent contact with our academic team. This dual approach is a real advantage and it enables us to stand out in the excellence of the reports, memoranda and opinions that we produce for our clients.
In addition to these interventions, the expertise of CDES is shown by the request for our experts to be a part of different committees of sports institutions (disciplinary committees, management control committees, stadia and arena committees, etc.). This participation is on a voluntary basis, as CDES is dedicated to using its skills in the service of sport.
CDES also organises a seminar dedicated to sports economics, called DESport (the Economic Dynamics of Sport). It meets quarterly at The French national olympic committee (CNOSF) and brings together both French and foreign researchers working in this field. Furthermore, the CDES regularly organises seminars, in particular, the biannual seminar organised alternatively at the Court of Cassation and the Council of the State.
