CDES Values

Both in its actions and in its organisation, CDES is committed to certain values and these are the values that it wants to promote in the wider world of sport itself.

The primacy of general interests over individual ones:

• privileged collaboration with sports institutions (national leagues and federations, international federations and the  Olympic movement);

• collaboration with stakeholders who fulfil public service missions (administrations and local authorities, etc.);

• collaboration with other stakeholders in the sports sector (media, private partners, etc.) when there are no conflicts of interest;

• defending the principle of regulating sport by sports bodies.

 ETHICS and respect of the "fundamental principles" of sport:

• fairness between participants;

• conformity of competitions (uncertainty, independence of sports bodies, …);

• governance based on the pyramidal organisation of sport which allows solidarity between amateur and professional sport to be preserved; 

• respecting the rules, especially fighting against cheating;

• respect for human rights, etc.

• free access to sport for all;

• democratic functioning of the sports and  Olympic movement;

• respecting the principles of sustainable development.
